Adam Milstein Makes Top 200 List For His Work With The Milstein Family Foundation

Adam Milstein is a Jewish American entrepreneur who has made supporting Israel and bringing Jewish American young people to an understanding of its importance in the world a priority. He is the founder of the Milstein Family Foundation and the Chairman of the Israeli-American Council (IAC), and he also works with StandWithUs to host a video competition known as Inspired By Israel every year. His financial as well as personal involvement with Jewish non-profits around the world have earned him a listing as one of the World’s Top 200 Philanthropists, a list put out by Richtopia. The list includes former US Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, billionaire investor Warren Buffet, singer Elton John and talk show host Oprah Winfrey.


Adam Milstein’s career has been comprised of working in building construction and framing, and later becoming a real estate broker and investor. He cofounded Hager Pacific Properties after completing his master’s degree at USC and became managing partner. Prior to that he was a soldier in the Israeli Defense Forces in the Yom Kippur War in 1973. He met his wife Gila while serving in the military, and upon returning home he married her in 1974. Milstein also ran a business selling art to the temples in Haifa while completing his bachelor’s in business at the Technion, Israeli Institute of Technology.


Years after relocating to the US with Gila and his three daughters, Adam Milstein founded the Milstein Family Foundation, and in addition to building ties with Israel and the US and helping Jewish young people cultivate a love for the homeland the foundation has started programs to educate families. Sifriyat Pijama B’America teaches families ancient Hebrew and has bedtime stories for children. He also contributes to Birthright Israel, a foundation that takes Jewish American college students to Israel where they can observe Jewish traditions and practices firsthand and become a part of the Israeli community. Adam Milstein has also been a keynote speaker at conferences hosted by the IAC and AIPAC, and he also has written columns for the Jerusalem Post newspaper.
